Rachel Waters is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Rachel received an Education Specialist degree and Master’s degree in Education specializing in mental health counseling from the University of Florida. Rachel has worked in community mental health and hospital-based settings, with a focus on addiction medicine for the past 15 years. Currently, she serves as the Director of Professional Services at the UF Health Florida Recovery Center in Gainesville. Rachel specializes in working with safety-sensitive populations to ensure substance use disorders do not impact safety to practice in the workplace. Rachel is dedicated to breaking stigmas through education and promoting understanding, respect, and inclusiveness in society. Rachel has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Rachel enjoys spending her free time being outdoors with her husband and two sons.
